The Scouts BSA Program is a scout lead, adult mentored program that focuses on teaching and developing scout skills. By participating in a scouting program, scouts learn new skills, participate in a wide range of activities, and develop leadership. Every troop is run by the scouts while adults are present to provide guidance and direction. The scouts are encouraged to plan their own activities and run troop meetings on their own.
